Review: Tiddlywinks Dance and Play Cafe and Indoor Play Centre

We took a visit to Tiddlywinks Dance and Play Cafe and Indoor Play Centre yesterday, we were enticed by the lure of meeting Queen Elsa of Frozen however we had an amazing day! Tiddlywinks is located at 264 Melton Road, Nundah and is open Tuesday to Sunday. It's an indoor play centre for 0-11 year olds but it's so much more with three discos daily. Tiddlywinks opens at 9.30 and the disco was at 10.30, we arrived at 9.50am and it was pretty busy! They have tables and chairs set up and being school holidays and Queen Elsa visiting most tables were reserved or taken. I would definitely recommend booking a table prior to visiting or arrive on opening time. Entry is $11 for 1-4 years, $13 for 5-11 years and adults are $3.50 which includes a free coffee, tea or juice.

There are two play areas, firstly the toddler area (0-3years) which had plastic slides and castle and other toys to play with like crazy coupes, walkers and balance bikes.

The 3 and up area was amazing with so many things to do I actually couldn't take it all in! It's a three story playground that includes slides with hessian bags, ball areas including a launcher (but don't panic it can't hurt anyone), climbing areas and a tunnel twisting slide.

After a play the real fun started with DJ Colin commencing the disco at 10.30, he was engaging and played appropriate music for all ages. Each age group had a turn up on stage singing and dancing which they all loved!

They have a wide variety of food including sandwiches, pies, pizzas, fruit and a good selection of drinks for kids and adults. I didn't see any information advising no outside food and lots of people were eating food from home. The prices were reasonable so you could treat the kids without breaking the bank. Take a look at the menu on their Facebook page.

They also run dance classes for little ones and rock 'n' roll for adults all at reasonable prices. Check out their website for further details.

The kids had an amazing time and even I enjoyed getting up and dancing with the kids. Tiddlywinks is by far the best indoor play centre I've been to and you could easily spend the day there. The only worry is the play areas are on either side of the dance floor so if you have kids of different age groups then it may be hard to keep an eye on them. Great concept and friendly staff makes for a great adventure for the little ones.

Don't forget socks for the little ones!
